Aneesh Zutshi is an Assistant Professor at NOVA School of Science and Technology. He lectures on Digital Entrepreneurship adoption of emerging technologies, such as machine learning within digital ecosystems, at the master's level at the University. Jonathan Heiss is a research associate at the Information System Engineering (ISE) group at TU Berlin. His main research interests are cloud-based systems and verifiable decentralized applications (DApps) with blockchains and zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs). For his paper on trustworthy data provisioning and pre-processing for DApps he received the Best Paper Award from the 2021 International Conference on Service-oriented Computing. Currently, he is leading a research project on ZKP-based business solutions that build upon ZoKrates, a language and toolbox for verifiable off-chain computations with zkSNARKs which has been developed at the ISE research group and, since then, has increasingly received attention in industry and academia. Recently, Jonathan’s research focusses on solutions for verifiable carbon accounting that build upon blockchains and ZKPs to enable reliable, cheap, and time-efficient verification of carbon emissions, particularly for scope 3 emissions of product carbon footprints in supply chains.
